    Classic Eggman (クラシックエッグマン Kurashikku Egguman) is the Dr. Eggman of the pre-Sonic Adventure era (the Mega Drive and Sega Genesis era), and literally looks like an egg with arms and legs. In fact, unlike the modern Eggman, he seems unaware that what he is doing is wrong.

    In order to defeat Sonic with Hyper Metal Sonic, he tries to undermine Sonic and his friends by setting up a match pump, talking about his banishment from Robotropolis by Metal Robotnik who has suddenly taken over the place.
